The World Culture Festival is set on a mega stage at the National Mall in Washington DC from September 29 - October 1.
It is one of the biggest celebrations happening this year with an audience from over 180 countries showcasing our shared humanity and rich cultural diversity.
The Guitar Ensemble is one of several performances that will happen at this three-day festival and will feature as a headliner opening act!
When you sign up you will become part of our 1000+ member diverse guitarist group, creating music echoing across the grounds to an audience of hundreds of thousands including world leaders, celebrities & artists and hundreds of millions of viewers across the globe!

Guido
Costa Rican guitarist Dr. Guido Sánchez Portuguez is an award-winning performer and composer. A classically trained guitarist with degrees from the University of Costa Rica and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Guido has strong roots in Latin styles and heavy metal (a pioneer of the early metal scene back home).
Guido is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois School of Music in Urbana-Champaign where he created the guitar program and teaches music theory. He is both founder and director of the University of Illinois Latin American Ensemble and Guitar Ensemble. He performs regularly as a soloist, in modern music ensembles, and along with symphony orchestras.
Performing on a stage this big and for a cause as noble is rare to come by.
It is also a chance for you to be alongside fellow artists and professionals, build connections and future collaborations.
This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at this level.
Our training sessions will provide you with adequate skills required to play at the event!
When you sign up you will be provided with all the necessary info needed to play the songs we will be performing on stage.
We will also provide you weekly training sessions and videos.
All skill levels are welcome!
